Preparing this Beetroot serum is a breeze, requiring just 4 major ingredients and a few simple steps. You won’t need to spend hours or feel exhausted-it’s incredibly easy to make. In fact, it’s so straightforward that anyone can whip it up! Let’s dive into the simple process of creating this natural beetroot serum.
Ingredients Required:
- Fresh Beetroot Juice
- Aloe Vera Gel
- Vitamin E Capsules
- Yoghurt
Steps:
- Extract Beetroot Juice: Take a fresh beetroot, peel the skin and cut it into small pieces. Grind them in a juicer to extract the fresh juice
- Mix with Aloe Vera Gel: Add natural aloe vera gel to the beetroot juice and mix it well
- Take the required Ingredients: Add the required number of vitamin E capsules and a little bit of yoghurt
- Blend all the ingredients: Grind all the ingredients together, then add the contents of the vitamin E capsules and yoghurt then grind again until well combined
- Store in a serum Bottle: Store the serum in the refrigerator and use it within 10 to 15 days.
How this Serum work ?
Hydrator: This serum is an excellent hydrator, especially for dry skin. The combination of yoghurt and aloe vera gel provides intense moisturization, helping to treat dryness and leave your skin feeling soft and supple.
Natural cheek Tint: It’s a perfect alternative to chemical-based tints, providing a subtle, rosy look to your cheeks. The Beetroot in this serum gives your skin a natural, instant glow.
Exfoliator: The lactic acid in yoghurt and Beetroot natural acids makes this serum a gentle exfoliator and removes darkness from the face. Simple apply the serum, let it sit for 5-10mins and once it dried, scrub it off with your fingers and rinse. This helps to remove dead skin cells, dark patches and reveals brighter and smoother skin.
How to apply ?
Cleanse your face with your regular cleanser and pat it dry. Then, apply 3-4 drops of natural beetroot serum all over your face using the dropper from the serum bottle ( avoid touching the serum with your hands ) then gently massage the serum into your skin and relax for 10-15mins. Afterward, scrub it off gently and rinse with lukewarm water to reveal the three amazing benefits of this homemade beetroot serum.
Precautions to follow
- Avoid touching the serum directly and instead, use the dropper to apply it to your face to prevent contamination
- Always perform a patch test before using the serum, even if it’s made from natural ingredients to check for any adverse reactions
- Despite storing the serum in the refrigerator, always check its smell before use. If it smells fresh, it’s good to go. If the smell has changed, it’s best to err on the side of caution and discard it.
- Ensure that all the natural ingredients used to make the serum are fresh and of good quality. If one ingredient is spoiled or past its prime, it can compromise the entire serum.
- Don’t leave the serum on your skin for more than 15 mins, as prolonged use can cause irritation and excessive greasiness.
- It is not for over night use
It is not suitable for,
Acne-prone skin type: If you have acne-prone skin or struggling with severe acne, be cautious when using any new products or ingredients, including this serum. The yoghurt in this serum is comedogenic and may exacerbate acne.
Oily skin type: This serum may also not suitable for oily skin type because it can increase oiliness all over the skin and make you feel greasy even after washing it off. ( if you want to enjoy its benefits then you can use rose water instead of yoghurt in it ).
Over sensitive skin type: If you’re highly sensitive to new ingredients, then this serum might not be suitable for you. Although it contains beneficial natural ingredients like beetroot and aloe vera gel, they can still cause irritation. To be safe, it’s recommended to do a patch test first and only continue using it if your skin reacts well and good.
